Judging

system

No jury chairperson
Each jury member works independently
No communication between jury members
Jury members are obliged to provide written feedback for each contestant

 

Basic

regulations

No upper age limit
Video selection only (single round)
Contestants are not required to play from memory
Competitors must be available for the time of the Australia Residency and CD recording session in Warsaw (dates to be announced)

 

Fees & Eligibility​

18+ (no upper age limit) - there is no upper age limit, however, we do require artists to be at least 18 years old by October 3, 2020 (born by 3 October 2002). 

We charge a non-refundable application fee of 50 USD, but there are no additional costs involved.
Regardless of the results, every participant will receive:​
  • written feedback on performance from all members of the jury
  • one-on-one online conversation with the jury member of your choice 
  • free scores (hard copies of up to 10 of Julian Cochran’s chosen works)
  • an exclusive webinar about career development conducted by one of our partner mentors
