New addition to International Cochran Piano Competition formula

During the Cochran Days laureates of the International Cochran Piano Competition
will have a possibility to:

  • take part in both individual and group mentoring sessions with widely known professionals,

  • get an opportunity to participate in a recording session and perform at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio

  • and take part in a professional photoshoot.

Sophia Pileggi

Sophia is an accomplished pianist and pedagogue, who throughout her career has performed around the world both solo and with an orchestra. She has graduated from the Catholic University of America and the University of Miami and has been awarded the First Prize at the Washington International Piano Festival Competition.

Viacheslav Shelepov

Viacheslav is a graduate of famous Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He has participated in multiple classical music festivals and taken part in numerous international piano competitions.

Workshops during the Residency 

Anna Proszowska-Sala

Anna is a certified Performance Enhancement Coach who works with outstanding musicians, actors, young and talented professionals from the artistic and creative fields, as well as business representatives. She has a long experience in creating communication projects and organizing special events. In 2009 she established her own consulting company, which has become one of the biggest companies of this kind in Poland. Since 2017 she has held the position of the Creative Director of the only Centre of Musical Entrepreneurship in Poland at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Through her work she wants to highlight the importance of realising that the limits of both personal and professional fulfillment are determined by one’s imagination. During the Warsaw Residency Anna will run 3 workshops on the topic of artist branding, promotion strategy and creating professional offers for potential clients and sponsors.

Australian Embassy in Warsaw is an institution that represents Australian government in Poland, Czech Republic and Lithuania. The current Australian Ambassador to Poland is Mr. Lloyd Brodrick. The Embassy takes care of the promotion of commerce and investments cooperation between said countries, it pursues main goals and premises of Australian international politics and spreads better understanding of its regional policy. But most importantly, the Embassy promotes a positive image of Australia.

Since its establishment it has been committed to evoking excitement and cultural inspiration. Yamaha is known for its involvement in supporting new businesses that are based in the world of music.

The ‘Koszyki’ market hall, commonly known as the ‘People’s bazaar’ was built in 1906-1908 in Koszykowa Street in Warsaw. In autumn 2016 Hala came back to life as Warsaw’s social and culinary center.
